Thank you for the links, much appreciated.
hey just wanted to ask if anyone here knows where i could find a legit copy of the finished mystery, one of charles taze russell's books if i'm not mistaken?
there's a couple of older brothers and sisters that i know, you think it's a good idea to ask if they have a copy?
i've seen some on amazon and even on ebay but again not entirely sure if they're legit or not.

i've been trying to get my hands on this book and read a review that i thought was interesting.
an anonymous person reviewed the book on barnes and noble and said .
"jonsson book deals with babylonian tablets.
@Bungi Bill
I was thinking that too 😂 their review could use some grammar correct.

@Diogenesister
I was thinking that actually, thanks a lot though for the recommendation

@Bobcat
Thanks so much for the recommendation and that online copy.
@Half banana
Yeah I've read quite a bit about him but wanted to dig deeper into his writings regarding his arguments about 607. I've read a bit of his rebuttals he wrote regarding what the Society wrote about when Jerusalem was destroyed in October/November 2011 and I thought it was pretty good, at least what I've read so far

@Wake Me Up
Yeah that's really important to me, I'm trying to not be biased at all and trying to dissect fact and what is true and what isn't true. Thanks for the insight on Jonsson's other book though

"Jonsson book deals with Babylonian Tablets. These tablets are written in Akkadian. The problem here is that Carl Jonsson don't know Akkadian. Also, some of these tablets that he refer to has problems. So, how can someone write a book about something in Akkadian that he can't understand."
They gave it 1 star and I wanted to ask if anyone could verify this and if they've read it and would recommend it to read? Thank you.

since leaving watchtower it still strikes me as odd how little i knew the real world and how it works.
i thought i knew how it worked but it turns out i didnt.
as jws we were always "courting with a view to marriage".you go on one date with a girl and everyone's expecting you're gonna marry her?
From my understanding I thought that as a JW you could only date a person for no more than 2 years, then you get married
full stop.
(paragraph 12 -- feburary 2017 watchtower -- who is leading god's people today?
)so why then would any jw abide by harmful doctrines setup by the governing body (blood, shunning, the two-witness rule, etc)?
Totally agree with you, what hit the nail on the head for me was when it was written in that same paragraph that they can err in doctrinal matters and organizational direction but if you watch any videos on JW.org or from the broadcasting, especially the July 2017 Broadcasting they'll say they're "God's spirit directed organization" and to me that completely contradicts what they said in that February 2017 article about erring in organizational direction. How can you if you're being directed by God's spirit?
as ridiculous as the bunker video was, a few things popped into my consciousness as i was riding the train today.
firstly, why did they go to all the expense and effort to not only create a bunker, but to furnish it like a living room complete with coffee table, armchair, shelves etc?
i mean, a bunker should be a bunker... boxes of tinned food, tools, medical supplies, emergency gear etc.
I personally don't understand why these videos are recognized as the "bunker videos" unless that's how they're referred to in other parts of the world. Where I'm from they're called the basement videos and to answer the question of why it doesn't look like a bunker is because it isn't. It's a basement. Lately these videos have been in the Christian Life and Ministry meetings and most witnesses at the moment that I've spoken to are raving about those videos and wanting to be in the "basement"
